Welcome to GLO short links API documentation

We at glo.xyz, offers api itegration to create short links, custom short links or branded links direct from your web platform or website. You can also do the link management for shorts links created by api in GLO account. We made the API integration very simple so that it will be easily integrate on cross platfom and cross language.

To get started with API integration you need to create account with us and create your api key for creating short links, custom links and branded short links.

Authentication

For API Integration to create short links, you need to authenticate yourself. To authenticate, you need api key which can be genereted from your account with following steps.

  • Step 1: Register yourself on GLO.XYZ
  • Step 2: Verify your account and then login
  • Step 3: From user dashboard, click on developer menu.
  • Step 4: Click on Create API button to generate your unique api key

Create Short Link

After generating your api key, you are all set to create short links, custom short links, branded links.

To create short links you need call the below API url using GET method and pass the parameter as query string.

API URL:
https://glo.xyz/api/short/?long_url=your_long_url
Headers
  • Content-Type application/json
  • api-key your_api_key
Parameters
  • long_url required

Replace your_api_key with your api key and your_long_url with real url.

Create Custom Short Link

To create custom short links, you need to pass one extra parameter in query string of api url. This parametre is custom_name

API URL:
https://glo.xyz/api/short/?long_url=your_long_url&custom_name=your_custom_name
Parameters
  • long_url required
  • custom_name optional

Replace your_custom_name with your desired custom name.

https://glo.xyz/api/short/?long_url=https://www.w3classes.info/difference-abstract-class-interface/&custom_name=oops-logic

Generate QR Code for Short links

To create QR code of your short url, you need to pass a parameter in query string of api url. This parametre is qr_code

https://glo.xyz/api/short/?long_url=your_long_url&custom_name=your_custom_name&qr_code=1

  • long_url required
  • custom_name optional
  • qr_code optional

Pass qr_code in paramete and set its value to 1

API Rate Limit

As of now, we allow 200 API/hour. It means you can send maximum 200 API request to create short links, custom short links and branded links.
